Grenoble, France - May 19, 2015 - Tronics, a designer and manufacturer of innovative nano and microsystems, has appointed the company Thales Avionics SAS as a new member of the Supervisory Board, represented by Marc Duval-Destin, Vice-President of the Navigation Competence Center at Thales Avionics.
Mr. Duval-Destin is a graduate of the Ecole Polytechnique and holds a PhD in Theoretical Physics. He started his career at the French Defense Procurement Agency (DGA), where he was responsible for the Leclerc Main Battle Tank Program from 1996.
In 2001, he managed the Automotive Telematics Project of PSA Peugeot Citroën and led the group's work in Intelligent Transport Systems (ITS). With recognized experience in the Automotive and R&T sector (electronics, motorization, structure, etc.), he was promoted in 2009 to the position of PSA's Director of Research & Advanced Engineering.
After 11 years at PSA Peugeot Citroën, Mr. Duval-Destin joined Thales, the manufacturer of specialized electronics for aerospace, defense and information technologies. He is Vice President of the Navigation Competence Center at Thales Avionics and Head of the Valence site (France), and his teams are in charge of developing the inertial, GNSS and air data product lines.
