Pixium Vision’s research partner presents at ARVO three posters on PRIMA, a tiny wireless subretinal implant
Paris, 4 May 2015, 6pm – Pixium Vision (FR0011950641 - PIX), announced that its research partner presented three PRIMA related posters at the Association for Research in Vision and Ophthalmology (ARVO).
Professor Daniel Palanker from the Department of Ophthalmology and Hansen Experimental Physics Laboratory and academic partner of Pixium Vision said: “Pre-clinical results of the wireless subretinal photovoltaic arrays we have developed are very encouraging. In the presented posters we evaluate activation mechanisms and characteristics of prosthetic vision, including contrast sensitivity and dynamic range, compared to normal vision. We also describe interaction of prosthetic and natural vision. This is very important for restoration of sight in patients with residual peripheral vision such as in Age related Macular Degeneration.”
