GROUPE GORGE : François Hollande, President of France, awards the 2014 Prix de l'Audace Créatrice to Groupe Gorgé

Groupe Gorgé is pleased to announce that it has just won the 2014 Prix de l'Audace Créatrice. Every year, this prize distinguishes an innovative company demonstrating entrepreneurship and knowing how to take risks to materialise its ambitions for growth. François Hollande, President of France, awarded this prize to Mr Raphaël Gorgé, Chairman and CEO of Groupe Gorgé, on Tuesday, 30 September at the Élysée Palace.

This prize, created in 1996 by Mr Marc Ladreit de Lacharrière, recognises exemplary entrepreneurial success, a spirit of conquest, an appetite for risk and the determination to create wealth in France.

Groupe Gorgé was founded in 1990 by Mr Jean-Pierre Gorgé and started out with 90 employees. Over twenty-four years, the Group has managed to develop and improve its earnings, profitability and workforce on French soil. It currently employs 1,300 people and operates in 12 countries across four continents.

"Receiving this prize is an important event for Groupe Gorgé. We are very pleased that our innovation, investment and daring - which the Group has demonstrated since its creation - are rewarded today. Our Group was able to make strategic decisions at the right times, while taking measured risks. I believe a company must be daring in order to seize opportunities and expand in promising markets. That is how we created the strong growth prospects facing us today," said Raphaël Gorgé.
