2007 business exceeds objectives
Maisons France Confort confirms dynamic growth for 2007 with sales figures of ¤488.5m, a rise of ¤63,8m.
Organic growth for the year was sustained with sales (excluding new acquisitions) of ¤479m, thus exceeding the stated objective and outperforming the market (new projects for 2007 falling by 1.3% - Source: Ministry of Equipment / Sitadel).
In a sector which remains highly fragmented, Maisons France Confort is continuing to affirm its position as a major pole for mergers in the single-family homes market while boosting its standing as a leading builder.
Sales over the 4th quarter 2007 come to ¤134.7m versus ¤121.2m last year, a rise of ¤13.5m (+11.1%). The Group thus managed to limit the predicted fall in the number of new projects over the last quarter following the slow-down in sales since the start of the year, caused by pre-election cautiousness.
Investments for the future
2007 was marked by a policy of strategic investments, strengthening the Group's development:
the takeover of PCA Maisons on1st April 2007 and of Morel Constructions on 1st October 2007,
extending the sales network in high-potential areas (Northern and South-western France),
the successful launch of the "Maison Performance" which responds to genuine market needs (15% cheaper than a traditional house, 30% more energy-efficient and built in 4 to 5 months).
Despite these investments, mainly made over the second half of the year, Maisons Confort France has confirmed an excellent level of profitability for financial 2007.
2008, another year of growth
Bearing in mind the strategic actions undertaken in 2007 and which are to be pursued over 2008, and despite a more difficult market, the Group maintains a positive outlook for 2008.
This growth dynamic will also be backed up by:
continued, quality external growth operations, both at headquarter and subsidiary levels,
the 2007 order book which represents 6,290 houses (+2.4%) worth ¤604m excl. tax. (+6%). As in previous years, the company has outperformed the market (-5.8% - Source: Caron Markemetron 12/07).
Thus, Maisons France Confort can already confirm its objective to reach growth of 10% for 2008, while maintaining high profitability.
Significant assets for a developing market
Maisons France Confort will continue to increase its market share and maintain sustained growth over the years to come thanks to the strategic investments in place, the high concentration in the sector, the Group's ability to respond to continuous changes in regulations and to homeowners' needs, and the considerable synergy developed as a result of the reinforced partnership with the Caisse d'Epargne group.
