Steria Suisse SA and Basle-based Dolder SA, an internationally-active distributer of raw materials, have signed a 5-year IT outsourcing contract. Steria will handle Dolder’s information system, including its network, infocentre, telephony and ERP application. Dolder’s three IT technicians have been transferred to Steria. Steria has signed an outsourcing contract with Dolder SA, a group with about 100 employees. As part of this contract, Steria will take over Dolder’s information system, comprising the infocentre, applications and telephony, for its sites in Switzerland, Austria and Italy, and its three IT technicians will be transferred to Steria. Matthys Dolder, Dolder Group CEO, believes that this outsourcing strategy will cut costs, enhance stability and security and upgrade the technical level of the IT environment. Its flexibility, the quality of its offer, the price and its international reach were key to Steria’s success in all the stages of the selection process, started in the spring of 2007. These assets were rounded out by its national and international experience, know-how in outsourcing, and the offer of a tailor-made solution for Dolder. The contract also includes the renewal and gradual upgrade of Dolder’s IT environment. Matthys Dolder, Dolder Group CEO, stated: "We opted for an outsourcing solution as this will allow us to make savings while benefiting from enhanced availability and guaranteed security in our IT system. The transfer of our three IT technicians to Steria was another key aspect. This solution also guarantees a state-of-the-art system and optimal usage." Nicolas Vezin, CEO of Steria Suisse SA, expressed his satisfaction: "The fact that this contract was signed for 5 years shows Dolder’s faith in Steria. This partnership is an opportunity for us to exercise our expertise in outsourcing, one of our core businesses, and for us to continue refocusing on infrastructures and applications at European level."
