The inaugural programme of the Leadership School, the Certificate of Global Business Leadership is delivered in partnership with U21Global, the world’s premier online graduate school.
Mr. François Enaud, General Manager of Steria Group, Dr. Mukesh Aghi, CEO of Steria India and Mr. Nick Hutton, CEO of U21Global will launch the Steria Academy in Chennai today.
The Steria Academy creates a strong learning and development engine to drive Steria’s ability to lead in a global economy. Its programmes are based on a modular approach with a mix of face-to-face and eLearning programmes.
The first of these, an 8-month Certificate of Global Business Leadership programme is being launched in Chennai today as the first of the programmes in the School of Leadership. The pilot batch of participants comprises 58 senior representatives from all Steria’s geographies. This world class programme covers key aspects of business leadership in a global market place.
The 3 other Schools of Learning of the Steria Academy (Sales, Consulting and Programme Management) are in development and will be coming on stream over the next 12 months.
The inaugural batch of Steria leadership participants will meet with their professors in a 3 day face-to-face session in Chennai, India on June 18, 2008. Over the course of the next eight months, they will participate in a series of 10 modules including online and offline training, team work and a final presentation of their team’s project to a panel of U21Global professors in February 2009. A second batch will commence in October 2008.
The Global Business Leadership programme covers a broad overview of key management disciplines to enhance the business acumen of potential leaders. It is designed for senior officers, executives, middle managers, function heads, as well as high potential junior managers, and comprises ten modules to be completed over an eight month period.
The Certificate of Global Business Leadership programme has been developed in partnership with U21Global, an online graduate school backed by an international network of 17 leading research-intensive universities from 11 countries. U21Global has been selected by Steria because of its global outlook which reflects Steria’s international presence along with the quality of its academic training. The programme offers an innovative and supportive learning environment which involves interactive online learning, discussion and peer learning platforms, mentoring by U21Global professors and access to research articles and business library.

Steria participants will be assessed throughout the programme and successful completion will lead to the award of a Certificate of Global Business Leadership which gives them credit towards articulation into U21Global’s MBA programme.
