Infrastructure is one of the SNCF’s four divisions. Its task is to maintain and manage the network for Réseau Ferré de France and to serve transport companies, whether the SNCF or its competitors. They are the foundation of the operations of the rail system and end-customer satisfaction, whether passengers or shipping companies.

Within the Infrastructure division, the Infrastructure and Operations Department (IEX) plans and steers production and industrial performance of Infrastructure establishments, defines maintenance and operations policies and prepares the corresponding repositories. Department IEX, through the National Operations Centre (CNO) located at Paris Saint Lazare station, ensures operational management of train traffic and co-ordination of punctuality 24/7. To carry out these various essential tasks, IEX possesses tools and applications from the SINAI Infrastructure Information System. Steering of these applications has been entrusted to Steria.

Support for SINAI applications (over 40 applications) includes two areas: • Level one assistance and support, including taking calls and supervision of infrastructures in the SINAI domain, • Level two assistance and technical support.

Steria handles user requests, administration of some critical applications, and operational management of equipment maintenance actions. Finally, control and monitoring of systems day and night for systems operations, network and application processing, is carried out 24/7.

Steria provides SNCF with a continuous industrial service, through high service level agreements that answer to the needs of availability, security and performance for the SNCF IS.
