Marseille, June 8, 2009 – Cybernetix is pleased to announce it has been awarded a major contract for the supply of a complete subsea monitoring system, from the US company Cameron. The contract worth over US$2m and the system is to concern the deepwater field USAN Development, located at a depth of 1000 meters off the Nigerian coast. USAN is one of the key oil reserves which will be operated in West Africa beginning year 2012.
With this award, Cybernétix can again deploy its unique technology based on non-intrusive measurements, dedicated to extreme operating conditions. The global surveillance system includes more than fifty measurement points integrated in the whole subsea production network. Among other benefits, it will allow to prevent the risk of hydrate formation in flowlines subject to high pressures and low temperatures.
This new solution is a key element of the suite of products developed by Cybernétix to optimize production and to secure the infrastructure assets implemented in the exploitation of deep or complex fields, and called “Asset Integrity Monitoring” (AIM). It allows a continuous monitoring of flows and equipments in deepwater, where human operations are not possible.
This new contract represents for Cybernetix Oil & Gas the opportunity to initiate an industrial relationship with a major Group specialized in Subsea Production Systems. It will be followed by an installation and commissioning agreement. The delivery of the equipments will take place before 2009 year-end.
