Sorel-Tracy, November 19th, 2007 - Conporec, a Canadian company specialized in mixed solid waste (MSW) and source-separated organics (SSO) recovery, announces it is targeting admission on Alternext* to access French and European capital markets, thus allowing its shareholders to benefit from the cash assets and protections offered by this market. Conporec is already listed on the TSX Venture Exchange in Toronto, Canada.
This eventual listing is part of the strategy to increase Conporec's presence in France through Conporec SAS, a French subsidiary incorporated four years ago for the Tournan-en-Brie request for proposal and now construction project. In the next months, Conporec SAS will initiate an ambitious market phase in the growing French waste recovery market. Mr. Fabrice HERMANCE, former Conporec Executive Vice President, is now the France based General Director of Conporec SAS to reflect this growth potential.
Conporec offers communities a true alternative to landfill sites and controlled dumping. Its patented sorting-composting technology can be used to reduce the total amount of waste sent to landfill sites by more than 70%. Moreover, with BiomaxTM patented technologies, it offers pioneering and efficient recovery technologies for various types of SSOs.

Conporec will be at the Salon des Maires et des Collectivités Locales and will take part in a roundtable forum on processing solid municipal waste
The Salon des Maires et des Collectivités Locales (SMCL) will be held at the Porte de Versailles space of the Paris-Expo from November 20 to 22; it is the only national meeting of all major government purchasers and their institutional partners or providers specializing in community management, services, implementation and development. Acclaimed every year as the first and foremost professional event for local communities in France, the SMCL had 48,000 visitors and 850 exhibitors over 55,000 m2 in 2006. Conporec will be in Stand 3H53.
Conporec will also co-chair a roundtable forum, in cooperation with the Fédération Nationale des Collectivités Composteuses (FNCC) and Mr. Bernard Morvan of Cemagref, at 10 a.m. on November 21; the theme will be "Traiter les Ordures Ménagères et produire un compost conforme à la Norme NFU 44-051, Oui c'est possible : les conditions pour y parvenir" [Processing MSWs and producing a NFU 44-051 compliant compost - Yes, it's possible: how to do it]. Conporec will present its know-how, making it the only design company that meets this standard, the most stringent currently in force.
Conporec Inc. develops, owns and operates various patented composting and sorting technologies for the treatment and recycling of municipal solid waste. Conporec successfully delivered three sorting-composting plants (Canada, France, United States) and also about thirty composting locations (Canada). Conporec is a socially responsible organization listed on the TSX Venture Exchange.
